GovIntelligence MCP connector

The connector lets AI assistants such as Claude work with the public-procurement data in your GovIntelligence workspace: tenders, awards, buyer and vendor profiles and market analytics. It is a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server operated by GovIntelligence.

Every request runs under the connecting user's own GovIntelligence login. An assistant sees exactly what that person sees on the website, and nothing more. Results link back to the matching page on GovIntelligence so every figure can be checked at the source.

Connect from Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and select GovIntelligence, or choose "Add custom connector" and enter the server URL below.
  2. Claude opens the GovIntelligence sign-in page. Sign in with your usual GovIntelligence credentials or SSO.
  3. Review the consent screen and select Approve.
  4. Start a conversation and enable GovIntelligence in the tools menu.

Claude Code and other MCP clients connect with the same server URL. Sign-in works the same way; nothing is installed on the server side. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans an Owner may need to approve the connector before members can connect.

Permissions

The consent screen lists exactly what the connector may do before you approve. Claude never sees your password, there are no API keys to distribute, and the connector never changes procurement data. Access tokens expire after one hour and are renewed automatically for up to 30 days.

You can disconnect at any time: remove the connector in Claude, or revoke it under Settings → Connected MCP Clients in GovIntelligence. Disabling a user account also blocks that user's connector access immediately.

Data handling

The connector returns public procurement data as published on TED and the German procurement portals and curated by GovIntelligence, plus the saved items you or your team created in GovIntelligence, such as organization folders. GovIntelligence does not store conversation content, prompts or assistant replies, and has no access to Claude's memory or files.

For each connection GovIntelligence stores:

DataPurpose
OAuth client and token records (tokens stored as hashes only)Signing in and keeping the connection alive
User id, team id and email domain per tokenApplying your account permissions to each request
Per call: tool name, outcome, duration, user and team idUsage metering and reliability
On failed calls only: the request parameters, capped at 8 KBDebugging errors
Hashed client IP address, kept for one minuteRate limiting

Traffic is HTTPS only and tokens are accepted in the Authorization header only. Requests are rate limited per user. Hosting, processors and legal bases are described in the Privacy policy.

Acceptable use

The connector is intended for interactive use through AI assistants. Bulk export, systematic scraping and sharing access tokens with third parties are not permitted. Usage is metered per user.
